Skip is a high-energy entertainer with a rare combination 

of talents developed during his extraordinary career:

 



 

The New Colony Six   After the Chicago-area native released his first album on Mercury Records as a member of Trilogy, Skip became the new lead singer and guitarist for MCA recording artists New Colony Six, whose national hits include “I Will Always Think About You.”           






Olivia Newton-John   In 1975, Skip was recruited to sing and play in the Olivia Newton-John band at the height of her world stardom.  For four years, Skip toured with Olivia in a wide range of exciting venues, including the Bu-Do Kan in Tokyo, the Metropolitan Opera House in New York, and Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show.


             

     




Top-Five Comic   Skip created an original show, combining his music, humor and acting skills into an uncanny comic rock impressionist act.  Voted a top-five comic in the country by the Chicago Tribune, he headlined Dangerfield’s in New York, Zanies in Chicago, and the Ice House in Los Angeles.

 

 

Major League   Skip’s film, TV and theater appearances include Monte the Colorman alongside Bob Uecker in the blockbuster hit movies Major League I and II, a comic role praised by the late great film critic, Roger Ebert.  Skip later starred in his autobiograph-ical play, The Nine Lives of Skip Grip, featuring his unique songs from his sold-out jazzy CD, Love in Lincoln Park.
